National Account Manager (High Street & Convenience)

Your Role

Reporting into our Head of Sales, the National Account Manager will be responsible for achieving sales and profit targets for our High Street & Convenience channel including Boots, The Co-Operative, BP, WHSmith and Holland & Barrett. The NAM will proactively manage the relationship between Bounce and their retailers to develop and manage the Sales plan.  The NAM will work with the Head of Sales to build account specific sales strategies that will increase sales value, sales profit, distribution, display and promotional opportunities in the relevant retail partners.

You will be an ambitious/ up and coming commercial executive from a well-known brand or a more than capable sales manager with bags of sales experience in branded FMCG particularly food or drink, with P&L exposure too. You’ll possess the essential skills of negotiation, promotional analysis and sales forecasting understanding. You’ll be expected to create and maintain amazing relationships and bring a personable face to the buyer community using your knowledge of account management not least your hunger and determination to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Planning

  • Business Plan – to prepare and implement an annual business plan for each account, carrying out regular reviews to ensure key sales and marketing objectives are achieved.
  • Prepare a Joint Business Plan (JBP) in conjunction with the Key retailer teams on an annual basis.
  • Identify opportunities to develop and implement plans to maximise the sales opportunities.
  • Competitor Brands / Activity – using information from trade press and market visits keep abreast of competitor brands/products and counter as required.
  • Strategy and Planning
  • Develop account strategies for the future.
  • Plan and implement strategies in accordance with business needs e.g. project implementation.

Commercial

  • Forecast – prepare value and volume forecasts by products and update on a rolling monthly basis. Liaise with the Supply Chain on specific requests and issues.
  • Implement and manage the appropriate trading terms and price changes within the company guidelines.
  • Range – develop the optimum range of new and core product distribution in accounts, ensuring NPD is listed and launched effectively
  • Customer Meetings – maintain regular face-to-face meetings with Buying and Supply contacts. Organise and lead annual strategy meetings with key contacts with key objectives.
  • Manage the agreed expenditure budgets for their customers and work closely with the marketing team to develop trade marketing activities.
  • Work with the UK Head of Sales on yearly budgeting process

 

Internal Reporting

  • Provide Customer P&L and ROI for each key activity in their accounts and gain approval from UK Head of Sales
  • Work with the Customer Experience team to resolve any complaints/issues.
  • Work with Commercial Execs to develop reporting on account EPOS weekly, identifying key areas for action and development.
  • Take ownership of sales reports and reviewing to make sure these are effective and meaningful

As you can appreciate due to the size and the way we are at Bounce, you may be expected to complete tasks outside your core role requirements.

Customer Service and Office Executive

Your hours are: Full time

You report to the: Customer Experience Team Leader

Location: Guildford

 

We are looking for a vibrant & enthusiastic person to help look after our amazing workspace and all those who work in and visit it. This isn’t just a standard office management role, you’ll be looking after anything and everything to do with the Bounce House, as well as offering amazing external customer service support to our trade customers as well as consumers.

The role will report directly to the Customer Experience Team Leader, who you’ll be expected to support on a variety of customer queries and orders. You’ll be a champion of amazing customer service both internally and externally. You’ll ooze our brand and will have the customer at the heart of everything you do.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that the Bounce House is a destination for all the Bounce team, not just a workplace. We want our staff to work in the best office environment in the UK – it’s your job to make it happen. You will look after our guests and take pride in showcasing our workspace to them…maybe even challenging them to a game of table tennis or darts in our meeting zone.

You will be the head honcho of dealing office contractors; Landlords, window cleaners, IT technicians, double glazing salesmen… you name it…these guys will be in your pocket (not literally). No issue is too big or small for you to resolve, and you don’t mind rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty (sometimes literally).

As well as the usual office management stuff, your role will spread across the entire business, ensuring that all the teams have the resources they require to propel Bounce to the next level. We don’t hold back on using the best resources to arm our staff with. You’re the go-to person for the whole team.

In other companies, this role may look something like this:

  • Offering support for a variety consumer and customer enquiries
  • Processing customer sales orders and liaising with our warehouse
  • Ensuring the office runs smoothly at all times & always looks in top shape
  • Meeting & greeting all guests & ensuring all rooms are ready for meetings
  • Liaising with all suppliers (IT, office supplies, cleaners etc.)
  • Looking after health & safety procedures and documentation
  • Supporting the business with bookings, the company car diary & staff events

What about preferable skills & characteristics? Ideally…

  • A positive attitude in bucket loads
  • Impeccable communication skills and problem-solving abilities
  • 2 years’ experience in an office environment, preferably dealing with internal and external customers
  • Strong IT skills within the Microsoft Office suite.

Marketing Assistant 

Your hours are: Full time

You report to the: Marketing Director

Location: Guildford

We are looking for someone to join our Marketing Department as a Marketing Assistant, this is a new role and a chance for you to make it your own.  What will we be asking you to do every day?  You will be supporting a great team of marketers with event support, dealing with the sampling team, but it doesn’t stop there.  You will also have your own areas such as the first point of contact for all those who love our Bounce balls, responsible for all marketing collateral which range from leaflets to t shirts.  This role touches every part of marketing such as social media, PR, content creation so be prepared to learn loads.

Junior Account Manager

You report to the: Head of Sales

Location: Guildford

Your Role: 

This role is a fantastic opportunity to get into the commercial team at Bounce. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Commercial Manager on some of our strategic Grocery customers. You will be exposed to all areas of the sales process from leasing with buyers to crunching numbers to understand the trends within EPOS.

We need someone who likes a challenge and wants to create a role and make it their own.

Field Sales Manager

Location: Guildford/London

Your Role 

With time split between our Guilford office and London, this is a unique opportunity, not only will you be responsible for managing a current Field Sales Team, you will also be asked to support a commercial manager on some of the largest Foodservice National Accounts.

As our new Field Sales Manager for the London area, you will take a leadership role within the team. You’ll develop and coach a high performing team of Field Sales Executives who operate across a territory of independent customers.

Field Sales Rep

You report to the: Field Sales Manager

Location: London

Your Role

Based in central London your role will be to sell our Bounce Energy Balls into convenience stores, gyms, foodservice sites and anywhere else that catches your eye. Joining a small but growing field sales team, you will be listing new customers and getting to know existing. Driving the brand forward with lots of enthusiasm, from introducing the brand and our story, selling in, upselling, re-merchandising and generally creating relationships with store managers across the city.

The role allows you to manage your own schedule and build on your portfolio of stores. With new products launching, and the brand going mainstream, it is an exciting time to get involved and see what impact you can make.

The Company

You

We are looking for someone with drive and interest in sales. A good communicator who has initiative and is happy chatting to people. You should be targets driven and able to organise.

Any additional experience working in FMCG sales is of benefit but not essential. As long as you have passion and energy to learn. The role provides the opportunity to experience different aspects of sales, dealing with various types of retailers, wholesalers, activating trade marketing and inputting into our commercial strategy in monthly meetings.

  • Full Time: 5 days a week 7.5 hours a day
  • Minimum of 15 selling days per month. Bounce may request some specific site visits.
