Bounce Foods is initiating a voluntary recall of Bounce Cashew & Pecan Protein Balls and Bounce Apple & Cinnamon Protein Balls.
We would like to reassure all of our customers that we have continued to receive no news of consumers being affected by the possible contamination. We have also tested all of our retained samples of the products concerned (Only our Cashew & Pecan and Apple & Cinnamon lines) and they have tested negative for any contamination.
Bounce Foods cares deeply about the health and safety of consumers and as such we have chosen to continue to initiate a voluntary recall of these products in an abundance of caution to rule out the risk entirely.
This recall comes after an ingredient supplier was found to have distributed sunflower kernels that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes (L.mono). Listeria is a food bacterium that may cause food poisoning.
We would like to reassure all of our customers that we have not received any news of consumers being affected by the possible contamination.
